Description of Position:

The Graduate School and the Office of Student Affairs is seeking to hire a student to assist with Graduate Student Life programs and initiatives. The mission of Graduate Student Life is to enhance the educational experience of and quality of life for Notre Dame students pursuing advanced degrees. The priorities of Graduate Student Life for 2017-18 include continued implementation of our 5-year strategic plan, on-going assessment and management of established programming, preparing for our upcoming move to the new Duncan Student Center, and piloting the launch of several new projects.

In support of these efforts the Graduate Student Life Assistant’s responsibilities will include:

  • Writing and editing for Grad Life communication efforts including our website, newsletter, and social media
  • Supporting ongoing assessment efforts through data analysis and benchmarking
  • Managing aspects of premier Grad Life programming to include the Summer Soiree Series, New Graduate Student Orientation, the Milestone Recognition Project, and Graduate Student Appreciation Week

Number of Positions: 1 (possibly 2 if hours need to be divided)

Minimum Qualifications: Students making satisfactory academic progress

Preferred Qualifications: Students enrolled in a graduate program at Notre Dame; students who can begin work this summer

Number of Hours per week: 20 (possibly 2 positions at 10 hours)

Schedule: To be agreed upon, but within the standard work week (Mon-Fri, 8-5)

Hourly Rate: $15
